I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Kent State University with a dual degree in special education K-12 and general education 1-8. My master's degree focused on language arts and computer science and is from the Ohio State University. I have taught every grade 1-12 beginning with Title I reading, grades 1-6, second grade, third grade, and fifth grade-all self-contained, 6th grade language arts, and 5-12 special education. I also was the director at our school for the high school credit recovery program both before and after my retirement in 2015. I taught for a digital academy and worked with high school students for credit recovery. After retiring, I received an ESL certificate from VIPKID and have taught English as a second language to children 3-17. I also have worked with adults at our local library and in person with children from other countries at one of our county schools. Education is important for success!

In my spare time, I love to travel, hike, go biking, make quilts, sew for my 13 grandchildren, watch football on tv, and attend any event in which my grandchildren participate.
