About Me

I am an accomplished English Language Arts Instructor with seventeen years of teaching experience. I am a three-time Teacher of the Year recipient who has spent my entire teaching career facilitating students in their journey to embrace the art of writing as a primary pathway to communication and a catalyst for change. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rollins Hamilton Holt School with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology, and I consistently use this background in brain-based learning when developing curriculum. My teaching style is a unique blend of 21st century writing and reading workshop, supported by critique-driven reflection. Embedded into my coursework is the acknowledgement that each learner has the capacity - the innate desire - to challenge themselves. It is the aim of every session to provide them with the language, grit, and fortitude to do so.
