About Me

I am a graduate of University of Illinois in Chicago with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. My passion is helping students grow to love to learn, in whatever way I can. I began my journey by volunteering for Working in the Schools, a reading-focused non profit in Chicago. I worked with kids K-5, from read-alouds to reading interventions. I also student taught at Ravenswood Elementary, working with a diverse learning population in the 4th grade. I love finding ways how to make learning accessible for everyone by using a variety of methods and activities. Finally, the past year I tutored a small group of third graders as they remotely learned in the local public school. I created a learning environment in their homes and provided supplementary materials to not only support their learning, but also our mental health, as we navigated a new way of learning together.
