- I am a graduate of University of Illinois in Chicago with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.
- My passion is helping students grow to love to learn, in whatever way I can.
About Me
I began my journey by volunteering for Working in the Schools, a reading-focused non profit in Chicago. I worked with kids K-5, from read-alouds to reading interventions. I also student taught at Ravenswood Elementary, working with a diverse learning population in the 4th grade. I love finding ways how to make learning accessible for everyone by using a variety of methods and activities. Finally, the past year I tutored a small group of third graders as they remotely learned in the local public school. I created a learning environment in their homes and provided supplementary materials to not only support their learning, but also our mental health, as we navigated a new way of learning together. I hope I can help you find your own way of learning!
Hobbies & Interests
When I am not teaching, I love to be outside. Along with my camera, I have a bucket list goal of exploring all 63 National Parks! I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I would also call myself a food fanatic because I love finding new places and things to eat and cook. Finally, I just truly enjoy learning in general; whether it is through a podcast, a book, a show or documentary, a travel destination, I am always seeking to learn new things!
