About Me

I am a lifelong learner. When I was still in school, my parents would ask me about my day because they wanted to know what I was learning. We would discuss it at the dinner table and eventually I couldn't wait to share with them my new found knowledge. My dad always said he would much rather have a hard earned "C" than an easy "A" because he learned more when he worked harder for it. That has influenced my personal and professional life forever. A's are wonderful, but if you can't recall what you learned then what was the point? I have over 30 years educational experience with students from early childhood to adults. I have my undergraduate degree in Special Education K-12, General Ed EC-8 grades, and my Masters degree in Instructional Technology. I am certified in ESL and Dyslexia. I have taught my students that learning is not meant to just pass a test or get a good grade, learning is to be internalized and used to help them through their life to do whatever they want. I want my students to be lifelong learners and enjoy learning as much as I do!
