About Me

I earned my bachelors degree at Ohio State University and I am currently working towards my masters degree in education from Cleveland State University. Right now I'm working full time as a research associate at a biotech company in Cleveland, but I've been tutoring part time since my early college years. I've also spent a lot of one-on-one time with students while coaching high school sailing and instructing summer camps. I am strongest at tutoring math and science. My favorite class to tutor is calculus, also the most challenging. I can help with AP, SAT, and ACT standardized test prep. I am also certified as an Assistant Lab Animal Technician through AALAS. I have a bunch of study tips, test taking strategies and general plans for success in school that look forward to sharing with students. I like to view school work holistically - for example, if we're stuck on the geometry chapter focused on circles, let's make sure we fully understand the preceding topics before we dive into the new one. Also, if we're stuck writing a paper, let's make sure we did the necessary research, outline, and planning before we put pen to paper. And most importantly, I try to impress upon students that sleep, stress levels, and overall wellness can be sneaky factors that inhibit students abilities to succeed.
