About Me

I have 18 years of experience teaching Math and Statistics at the college level. I was involved in the Gateway toCollege Program in which we helped students who were struggling to finish high school earn a High School diploma, as well as earn college credits toward a higher level degree. I have also tutored math within the community to all age groups, and am currently a Guest Teacher in our school district to all age levels. I have coached girls sports for the past 18 years, coaching my daughter's lacrosse and field hockey teams from third grade to high school. My passion is to help kids learn and achieve at the highest level possible. I have always tried to make math less "scary" to those students who struggle and to help them to overcome any math anxiety they have. When I teach, I allow the students to try to come to an "Aha!" moment with productive struggle, but step in when help is needed.
