I am a graduate of the University of New Mexico, receiving my Master of Science in mathematics.

About Me

I tutored as an undergraduate student, taught as a graduate student, and am now proud to be teaching as a faculty member at the local colleges and university. I firmly believe in teaching and tutoring by example, having the students play an active role in examples strengthens understanding and solidifies content knowledge. Outside of teaching an tutoring, I enjoy board games, sports, and being outside.

When a student is struggling with material, first I attempt to identify if there is an underlying cause. Many students commonly struggle with new material if older concepts have not yet been mastered. By strengthening core concepts and review material, students will have a higher success rate when approaching new topics. Beyond review, I break problems down into manageable pieces which the student can solve and help the student reconstruct the problem at hand.
