Education is a passion for me. I've loved it ever since I was a child and love it now that I am able to share my knowledge with others. I received my BA in Biochemistry at Vassar College, my MSC in Anatomy & Physiology at the Atlantic Veterinary College of UPEI, and my PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Orthopedics) at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Subjects revolving around biology and chemistry are therefore my area of expertise and what I most enjoy tutoring. I don't have a singular approach to tutoring. It starts with getting to know the student and how they best assimilate information. Everyone is different. I always look to the individual's needs and work from there. Outside of academia I am interested in Fitness (CrossFit, Powerlifting), Aikido, Rock Climbing, Gaming, Movies, and Outdoor Activities/Nature.

In a broad sense, I see the role of a teacher as a guide, or someone who can bring clarity and perspective to an individual and develop their capacity to be initiators of their own learning. Looking back, I find that, as a student, I responded best to teachers that demonstrated a joy or passion for their discipline and to teachers that took an active role in enabling me, as an individual, to succeed.
