I am currently working on my Ph.D in Developmental and Educational Psychology at Boston College. Prior to BC, I received my graduate degree and training in Education from Harvard University. I have six years of teaching experience at the middle and high school levels, and I specialize in working with struggling students and students with learning/developmental disabilities. I make it a priority to meet my students where they are in their academic progress, and to work with them to set short-term and long-term goals. I prioritize working to develop logical and generalizable ways to address questions and problems, as this makes it easier to know which strategy can be used to solve them. I also work with students to learn about learning itself -- to understand the ebb and flow of knowledge acquisition and to take challenge and failure in stride. I value a growth mindset stemming from both hard work and having fun!
