I received my undergraduate degree in Microbiology with a specialization in Medical Microbiology and Immunology. Also, I graduated with my medical degree (Doctor of Podiatric Medicine) from Des Moines University in 2014.My educational career has emphasized application of materials in a practical and academic settings and I strive to apply this to each tutoring session. During my undergraduate career, I performed research on plant biology, exploring the effects of plant hormones. During medical school, I performed research on gait analysis to further understand human biomechanics and improve surgical outcomes for patients. I absolutely love science and showing others how it can be used in real-life. I am also eager to take a mentorship role with clients by discussing my career path, goal setting, and tips for success that I have learned along the way. I strive to see each and every client succeed in his or her aspirations in academia and life. In my spare time, I enjoy fitness oriented activities including weightlifting, yoga, cycling, and running. Outside of these, I am passionate about art, cooking, and world-wide travel.
