About Me
I received my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on HVAC. In high school, I was part of Mu Alpha Theta and tutored students in almost all subjects of Math on a weekly basis. During my years in college, I worked as a Learning Assistant with the math department at FIU, tutoring and helping student in College Algebra, Calculus I and Calculus 2. I served as an assistant to the Math teachers to help protector tests, grade homework/classwork, and held group study sessions outside of class with groups of students. Privately, I have also offered my tutoring services to a countless number of people in subjects from College algebra to Calculus III and have always had positive outcomes. In my opinion, teaching is a very rewarding for both the student and the teacher. Teaching, in some ways, is an art that requires a unique approach to each unique student. When i have a new student, I start by learning about the student first before I teach them. I do not use the same application or method of teaching for everyone. I need to know where the student is coming from, what their attitude is toward a subject, and what are their strengths/weakness. With this, I develop a schematic method of teaching for the student to most effectively adhere to his/her needs.
