My answer is always the same:The look on students' faces when they get something - it is priceless. Learning is hard, teaching is harder, but when the two meet and success is the outcome, nothing is more rewarding. I've been teaching at the college level since 1992 and have seen hundreds of my students go on to become happy and successful in their chosen careers. Some of those students, and many others who were not in my class, came to me for tutoring help since I teach a variety of difficult courses including: Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, andGeneral & Advanced Biology. It's been even more satisfying tutoring students than teaching a classroom - and even more successful for them. I have a very comfortable yet effective method of engaging my students and helping them learn. I use real-world examples and applications as much as possible to enable my students to grasp difficult concepts or topics. Since I have a wide variety of hobbies, personal interests, and experiences in the world, I have much to draw upon.
