About Me

Teaching is my blood; both my mother and grandmother were teachers. There's nothing that makes me happier than that 'aha!' moment - when my student understands something he/she would not have without my help. When my sisters and I came home from our school in the Bronx we had to complete 'Mom's homework' after our own schoolwork as a matter of course. 'Mom's homework' was our way into the best private schools in the northeast. My own children - my autistic son and my intellectually gifted daughter - did 'Mom's homework' as well, which enabled them to reach their own intellectual bests. I believe that children have exactly one chance at a good education track. A good tutor can hone skills that might not have been properly nurtured in the usual academic setting. I've been teaching and tutoring in many different situations and I've developed some unique teaching tools that will engage your child and help him/her sharpen the English skills necessary for test taking or general writing.
