I am the second eldest daughter of four and a big cousin to a 7 and 6-year old, meaning I've been assisting my family with childcare and homework help for years before it became my job. In high school, I volunteered at my elementary school, providing homework help to 3rd-5th graders in various subjects. In college, worked as a summer camp counselor for DukeTIP, a camp for gifted kids, and interned at an organization that provides year-round academic enrichment to middle and high school students.

I am most proud of in myself is my compassion, and as a teacher I believe that compassion and patience always come first. There is never room at the table for cruelty.

I'm currently working at a public school in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia. I work hard to develop 1:1 or small group sessions with my students to help them find their confidence to succeed as I know they are capable of doing! I am always challenging myself as well as my students to reach our full potential. I hold my students to high expectations. I am excited to have the opportunity to share my knowledge in a tutoring session to help all children grow and learn!

I am a firm believer that all students learn differently and identifying how each student best learns is essential to his/her academic success. Therefore, as a tutor, I aim to specifically tailor my teaching style to each student in order to help them maximize their potential. Outside of academics, I enjoy exercising, playing basketball, cooking, and attending concerts and other live performances in the Philadelphia area.

I am passionate about teaching and tutoring and I thoroughly enjoy helping students gain an understanding and a drive for their studies. I have a long history of working with students of all grade levels and abilities (elementary school through college), and I have a good understanding of strategies to excel in both general academics and standardized tests.
