I'm a grad student at the University of Oklahoma in the School of Meteorology. I completed my Bachelors degrees in mathematics and geophysics at MIT in 2012. I then spent four years in the Navy as an instructor at Nuclear Power School, where I taught physics to sailors who were learning to operate nuclear power plants. I absolutely love teaching and love math and science. If you're looking for some help in those areas, I'd love the opportunity to assist you.

I am also an academic life coach and advisor, as well as a graduate programs administrator. I love to write and have been published both under my own name and under a handful of other pen names. I regularly present to my local professional organizations on topics regarding student success, particularly at the graduate level.
I am 23, and I'm a bilingual student studying Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Oklahoma (looking forward to graduating in May 2022). I love to help students gain the confidence they need to understand and succeed. There is a popular saying in Spanish, "Nadie nace aprendido" which translates to "No one is born knowing". We all have different styles of learning, and I aim to help you figure out what you need to achieve your academic goals.
I am a passionate learned looking to help others learn effectively! I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from Northwestern University this past summer. While at Northwestern, I served as a teaching assistant for Computer Science courses where I assisted students in learning the curriculum there. I also have had a long history of small tutoring jobs with friends in a plethora of different subjects.
I am currently a rising Junior at the University of Oklahoma, majoring in Biology on a Pre-medical track. I am on a full academic scholarship and an active participant in the honors program. My enjoyment of learning for its own sake has been a main driver of my academic success. I approach life with a smiling, energetic attitude, a mentality that carries over to my tutoring. Outside of school I love being active and outside as much as possible. My best days are filled with music, friends, and new experiences.
I am a senior at the University of Oklahoma currently applying to medical school for entrance into the fall class of 2017! Because I am only four classes away from earning my Bachelor's of Science in Biology at OU, I will only be taking two classes this fall, and finishing up with two classes in the spring. This gives me a lot of extra time time to tutor in academic areas that I enjoy! I also have extensive childcare experience and love tutoring elementary age students, as well.
I am most interested in helping students interested in calculus and chemistry as those are the subjects I am most interested. I believe every student can succeed and improve if they are willing to work.
I am currently pursuing a Bach. in Aerospace Engineering. I have always been very good at math in fact there were some grades where I feel I was teaching myself.I have never tutored for money before. This is not to suggest that I have never tutored because I have tutored Algebra 1, AP Calculus AB, AP Physics 1 , and ACT. If you are interested I hope we can work something out!
I'm Joe! I'm a first year economics and international area studies major at the University of Oklahoma. My favorite show is Rick and Morty, and my favorite book is The Things They Carried, by Tim O'Brien.
I am a senior at the University of Oklahoma studying industrial & systems engineering. While I love my major, I'm also involved on campus outside of the engineering department, serving as an event chair under Campus Activities Council, working with orientation & transfer programs, and volunteering as a mentor for middle school students at Loveworks Leadership!
Hello! I'm Anabel! I am a junior at the University of Oklahoma who is thrilled to tutor you or your child in English! On the ACT, I earned a 36 in English and a 35 in Reading, and on the PSAT, I earned a 740/760 on the English portions. I also earned a 5 on the AP exams for AP English Literature and Composition, AP English Language and Composition, AP Music Theory, and AP US Government and Politics. I have been a substitute teacher for a year, and I have learned skills such as classroom management, one-on-one tutoring strategies, and ways to effectively communicate complicated ideas and subject matters. I intend to work closely with parents and guardians to create personalized lesson plans for students that will most optimally help them grow and learn at a pace that feels comfortable. I am comfortable tutoring any student K-12, and I have worked with ages 3-18. I also have experience with children with autism and other developmental conditions. Please feel free to reach out!

The first session is focused on understanding your student's strengths, challenges, and learning goals. The tutor will assess where your student stands academically, discuss what they're working on in their Norman classroom, and create a personalized plan for how tutoring can best support their success. This foundation helps tutors tailor every future session to your student's needs.
With an average student-teacher ratio of 15.2:1 in Norman schools, many students benefit from one-on-one attention that addresses their specific learning gaps. Personalized 1-on-1 instruction allows tutors to slow down, repeat concepts, and adjust their teaching style in ways that classroom settings often can't. This individualized approach helps students build confidence and catch up on foundational skills that may have been missed in larger class settings.
