I am a graduate of Harvard college. I received my degree in neuroscience while I also enjoyed having a minor in energy/environmental studies. Following my graduation, I have predominantly spent my time working with students, whether it be college prep, ACT tutoring, or even general academic assistance. When I am teaching, my favorite subjects are those that are STEM or STEM-adjacent. I find that subjects such as math or science aren't always taught best in large settings, so being able to sit down with a student who is struggling in those regards and help them understand the material fully is a really rewarding thing. I am a firm believer in the value of education and think that one-on-one instruction is one of the best modalities there is in terms of learning potential.

I am interested in becoming a tutor at varsity. At my university, I worked as a teaching assistant at the math lab. There I gained multi-cultural teaching experience. I assisted students with their work, helped professors and proctored classes. Working both as a TA and an RA gave me practical experience and a higher level of responsibility. I was also active on campus and a member of the math club. After graduating, I started teaching at universities and colleges. I have been employed for almost two years and have been teaching both developmental and undergraduate courses. Teaching students has been my greatest educational experience. It is both challenging and interesting to teach students from different ethnic and educational backgrounds. Teaching and tutoring mathematics has given me a much deeper knowledge of the theories and concepts that I have learned. Teaching these young individuals has taught me so much. Our daily interactions have been not only enjoyable but in some ways eye opening. Every student is a person with their own ideas and experiences. I want to enhance my experience by doing more tutoring both in-person and online. Doing this would be fulfilling and meaningful to me. Thank you for considering my application.
I am fluent in both Chinese and English. Since I grew up in China, I have a Chinese cultural background which I intend to incorporate into my lessons. I took the AP Chinese exam and am very familiar with the test. I have tutored the Chinese 4 class in my high school in the past few years and I am confident to tutor any high school level Chinese.
I am so excited to work with you or your student. I am a Stanford University graduate, where I majored in American Studies and minored in Creative Writing. I have worked in politics, education, and the medical field, and now I have my own business. I truly believe life is a never-ending journey of learning, and I hope to share that enthusiasm with my clients.
I am also an academic life coach and advisor, as well as a graduate programs administrator. I love to write and have been published both under my own name and under a handful of other pen names. I regularly present to my local professional organizations on topics regarding student success, particularly at the graduate level.
I'm a grad student at the University of Oklahoma in the School of Meteorology. I completed my Bachelors degrees in mathematics and geophysics at MIT in 2012. I then spent four years in the Navy as an instructor at Nuclear Power School, where I taught physics to sailors who were learning to operate nuclear power plants. I absolutely love teaching and love math and science. If you're looking for some help in those areas, I'd love the opportunity to assist you.
I am a 26 year old who obtained a Bachelors of Science in Biology in 2017 and a Masters of Science in Medical Science in 2020. My masters research was in the field of immunology where I studied Bisphosphonate Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw (BRONJ), however I have knowledge in a wide range of subject matters. I have lived and studied in a variety of places including Scotland, Germany, Cambodia, and Alaska, and bring a unique world view to tutoring. I am so passionate about making tutoring an accessible, non-intimidating, super effective, and fun experience for all of my students. I look forward to being a part of your educational journey!
I am excited to be working with Varsity Tutors. I currently teach middle and high school social studies at Bishop Dunne Catholic School in Dallas. I teach 8th Grade US History, Spanish 3, AP Microeconomics, and Economics. I also have experience tutoring middle school Math while in college.
I am a 4th year psychology PhD student and have taught introductory psychology and abnormal psychology courses at the college level. I am able to tutor in a range of subjects including Statistics, English, Science, Social Sciences (psychology is my favorite), and Math. I have experience working with students of all ages, including students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia. I am also able to help with test prep for the SAT or GRE.
I am an undergrad student at Agnes Scott college, currently pursuing bachelors in neuroscience and biomedical engineering. I grew up in a STEM focused household, and though I've always been inclined in those fields I've also always loved making art in whatever way I can.
I'm an engineer with tutoring experience ready to help students of all ages in a variety of math subjects, as well as with standardized testing needs. Being an engineer means that I'm a problem-solver, and that I need to be able to adapt to a variety of situations. I apply that skill to my tutoring: every student is different, and I adapt my teaching methods to those differences.
I am a graduate of Pepperdine University and am currently pursuing a PhD in International Relations at UNT. I have always had a passion for learning and knowledge, and I hope to impart that passion to others through tutoring. My academic interests include languages, politics, and literature. In my free time I enjoy to read, watch films, and travel when I can. I spent a year studying in Lausanne, Switzerland.
