About Me

I graduated from Yale in 2015 with a degree in Anthropology. Next year, I will be attending Stanford Medical School to pursue my MD and hopefully begin a career as a pediatrician. For as long as I can remember, I have loved math and science. Now, as a tutor, I am extremely excited to share my passion for these subjects with other students. Though math and science can often be intimidating, I hope to show how approachable these subjects really are. Everyone can succeed in math and science if they want! In addition to teaching content, I am happy to work with students on note-taking and strong study habits. By focusing on these skills, I believe students can improve in every subject and better prepare themselves for college and beyond!

To help a student get engaged, I would prioritize showing how amazing the subjects really are. For example, math and science often instill fear in students, but the subjects are incredibly intertwined with the world around us. Every day, math and science enable us to live with awesome technology! So by showing examples of what we can do with the math and science we work on every session, I can create excitement and show how what we learn is relevant to our lives. Moreover, this can help make the subject more approachable and less intimidating.
