I am very excited to be working as a tutor for the summer and throughout the school year. Currently, I am an 8th grade math teacher at a STEM school and greatly enjoy it. I have a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a focus in mathematics. I am also certified in general education for grades K-6 and in mathematics for grades 7-12.

I am extremely patient, as I am aware it will take weeks to get my students to where I want them to be, and I will have to continually reinforce their behavior all the way through June. Having your procedures firmly in place will make teaching easier and more effective throughout the entire year.

I'm certified to teach grades 4-8. I have a middle school teaching certification in CT as well as a Masters Degree in Special Education. I'm able to make any lesson fun, engaging, as well as level and age appropriate.

I am proud to say my student made it on the school honor roll for the first time. I view tutoring as a form of giving back to my community and as a mutual learning experience for me and my student. I am a concentrator in the History of Science which involves the study of the development of knowledge. It is amazing to see how systems and thought evolve. History of Science has been amazing in changing my consideration of what is science and who gets a chance to live in our world which inspired my change to the non-medical path of history of science towards public health.

I am an 8th grade Language Arts teacher with a passion for reading and writing. I love the way reading a novel can pick you up and bring you anywhere. Someplace magical, someplace mysterious. Writing is an outlet used for expression and can be very therapeutic. Finding your creativity is a fun way to get to know yourself better.

I'm currently a 5th grade teacher at a public school in my hometown. I love to make learning fun, because that's how I learn best. And I want that for my students as well. There's joy in learning and even more when you understand how and why things work. I dedicate myself to breaking things down in pieces that I understand and make learning as fun and relatable as possible. I am married and have three beautiful daughters. I graduated with a Bachelor in Math Education in 2000 and a Masters in Math in 2003 from Fairfield University. I am very experienced in working with children and teens and motivating them to succeed at schoolwork and writing (without doing the work for them!). As a marketing manager for a major publisher of children's content, my job requires me to tackle writing projects every day with the aim of really getting the message across. Both of these attributes will help my students as they work on reading, writing and organizational tasks.
