I am a sophomore at Vanderbilt University and have been tutoring since I was a freshman in high school. I love working with elementary and middle school students, but also have the knowledge and skills to tutor high school students in AP classes and standardized tests. I scored a 35 on my ACT (36 math, 35 english, 35 science, 33 reading), a 770 on the Math II SAT subject test and a 780 on the Chemistry SAT subject test. In high school, I took AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP Physics C, AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, and Multivariable Calculus, and scored a 5 on every AP exam. In addition to specific subject matter, I am highly knowledgable on the college process and know how to strategize to get into your dream school!

I am originally from Evanston, IL. I just recently graduated from Brown University with a degree in Music Theory/History/Composition and am about to embark on a master's program at NYU in musical theatre writing. Aside from playing trombone or composing I can often be found baking something fresh or playing with dogs outside.

I am a graduate of Brown University, where I earned my B.A. in Literary Arts and Visual Arts, taking courses in a wide array of subjects ranging from contemporary American fiction to ancient Indian classics. My first teaching experience came in college when I had the privilege of creating and teaching a series of literature courses at a local community center. There are few experiences I find more enriching than facilitating a meaningful dialogue centered around great works of literature and art. While literature and art are my passion, I also tutor in variety of other subjects, including math, science, and test preparation. I currently work as a lead teacher in the after-school program at Archway Classical Academy in Phoenix.

I am starting graduate school in September of 2024 (PhD in clinical psychology at UMass Boston). Throughout high school, I tutored all subjects at a nearby elementary school. I also tutored another high school student in Spanish, at the request of my Spanish teacher. Before college, I took a gap year to pursue music. During the gap year, I tutored a neighborhood seventh-grade girl in math and writing. Over the years, I have come to better understand how much I enjoy providing one-on-one support to children. I have been particularly successful in helping children who easily get frustrated and lose patience. As a recent student, I would be very excited to help others feel confident in their schoolwork. I am a 2019 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where I received a dual degree BFA in Vocal Performance and BA in Creative Writing. I also achieved a GPA of 3.92, 3 semesters on the Dean's List, induction into Phi Beta Kappa as well as Sigma Tau Delta (the English honors society) and Pi Kappa Lambda (the Music honors society), Carnegie Mellon University Honors, and Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences Honors. I graduated Bloomfield Hills High School with a 3.96 GPA in 2015, and was a National Merit Finalist as well as a Presidential Scholarship candidate, thanks to my top test scores.

I am a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where I majored in mathematics and minored in creative writing and statistics. I tutor math, reading, and writing up to the college level. My favorite subject to tutor is Algebra, because I believe it is the most intuitive area in math, and nothing in teaching brings me more joy than in helping students develop their own sense of intuition towards a subject.

I am a pre-Occupational Therapy student majoring in psychology with minors in neuroscience and art. I will be graduating with honors from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in May, and I will begin Washington University School of Medicine's Doctorate of Occupational Therapy Program this Fall. My academic pursuits have made me confident in my abilities to tutor those pursing degrees in social sciences along with those pursuing careers in health care. Currently my favorite subject is neuroscience. I fell in love with it after I started college and I plan on specializing in neurorehabilitionation as an occupational therapist.

I am multi-media artist and educator working at intersections of audio documentary, performance, and media literacy. I am a sophomore at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, majoring in music and computational biology. I am an astronomer who spends her days coding in Python and conjuring up equations to fit trends I observe in my spectroscopic data. Currently, I study how stellar environment affects the gaseous disks around baby stars that may be forming planets (Yep & White 2020, The Astrophysical Journal, Volume 889, Issue 1, id. 50). Math, physics, and coding are all part of my job solving mysteries of the Universe! Throughout the year (except during global pandemics), I run Georgia State University's telescopes to show everyone the planets, stars, clusters, and galaxies visible from right here on Earth.
