I recently moved from San Francisco to Atlanta to study pediatric nursing and public health at Emory University. I am thrilled to be in this beautiful city and feel so fortunate to be embarking upon my graduate education. I have always been passionate about learning and enjoy helping others reach their personal and academic goals. Over the course of the last 16 years, I have had experience with a variety of exams given to middle school and high school students ranging from 7th-8th grade ELA exams to the English Regents exam given in high school. Not only have I prepared more than 1500 students during that time, I have also had the opportunity to grade those very exams. That has given me the advantage of being able to share what the expectations and criteria are for success on those exams.As a father of two children within the NYC school system, I understand the value of providing children with additional opportunities to receive extra help beyond the classroom. I believe wholeheartedly that students who have the ability to receive individualized instruction often fare better than those who do not.

I'm a college student at Stony Brook University pursing a degree in Psychology and Public Health, I'm also working on my associates degree in Biology. I graduated high school in 2017 and was a member of the National Honors Society and the World Language Honors Society. I look forward to working with you.

I am a professional civil engineer with over 28 yrs experience and a record of practice in over 4 countries.I hold a BSc in civil engineering and a masters in project management. I also hold a second masters degree in construction management technology at Purdue University in the state of Indiana.I once lectured for 6 yrs in the civil engineering Dept.of Walter Sisulu University in South Africa.I have also run several seminars and workshops to over 40 engineering professionals in the area of project management and construction contract management.I am currently working as a program specialist managing a research grant at the college of engineering, purdue university in west Lafayette, IndianaI have tutored on this platform over 15 students towards the PMI-PMP, FE professional certification exams and other construction related subjects in the past 3 years and majority of them had passed. I have also tutored a class of professionals in how to use Microsoft Project Software to schedule their projects .My tutoring philosophy or approach is more of a participatory one where I encourage my students to contribute to the teaching experience through live problem-solving exercises that will help build their confidence towards the exams.I give them a shared access to a g-drive study folder that contains all their needed study materials.I provide lesson Notes that are compiled from multiple sources, detailed, self-explanatory and laced with multi-situational examples,pictures,diagrams and videos.I also provide exam-like practice problems for their home practice.Revision Question and Answer Workshop sessions are also available on demand

As a recent Bachelors in Science graduate, I have experienced different study and learning methods that have worked well for me, allowing me to excel throughout my school years. I have a passion to help others, and this is done through patience, understanding, and thoroughness. Being able to give back to the community by tutoring students, is a privilege, because not too long ago I was in your seats! I understand the frustrations that may arise when a certain topic is incomprehensible; so allow me to help. I am extremely proficient in math subjects including geometry, algebra, pre-calculus - I've been in AP classes/ Honors classes my entire life and have excelled most in math.

I am a senior at St. Olaf College and will graduate in May of 2016 with degrees in Economics & Psychology with a minor in Management. I have currently accepted a job serving as an investment management consultant in Boston, MA. I am passionate about teaching and enjoy helping students prepare and succeed in academics. I especially enjoy helping students study for standardized tests. A lot of high school is spent prepping for college and with proper instruction anyone can get into the college of their dreams. I believe that I can help students achieve their goals. In addition to standardized test preparation my passions lie in public speaking and management. Beyond academics I love traveling, cooking, reading, and scuba diving!

I am a rising senior at Yale University, where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music. I work with students on their essays as a writing partner at the Yale College Writing Center. As a songwriter, I am passionate about word choice, structure, and specificity. I bring the joy I find in language to helping students work on their writing and prepare for standardized tests. Outside of class, I enjoy singing, arranging, and teaching a cappella music, in both rehearsal and workshop settings, working with students from elementary school to college-age. It is important to me to create enjoyable and non-judgmental learning environments. I strive to offer a collaborative learning experience, where students can feel heard and maintain agency over their learning process.

I am a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University where I received my Bachelors in Elementary and Special Education. I am a graduate of the University of St. Joseph where I received my Masters in Special Education. After graduation, I taught for 6 years, 2 years in the upper Elementary and High School setting and 4 years in the lower Elementary setting as a Special Education teacher. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about tutoring reading. I believe reading is the core foundation to succeeding in education. I believe education needs to be student centered and diversified to meet students individual needs. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring nature with my family, reading, crafting and doing Yoga.

I went to Riverwood Charter School in Sandy Springs and while there focused on English, French, History and Art in the International Baccalaureate program. Now I'm majoring in Chemical Engineering at Georgia Tech and focusing more on sciences and math. I have a large range of experience in multiple subjects, including test preparation, science, and math- as well as ballet.
