I am a graduate of SUNY Purchase college with a BA in Creative Writing with a specialization in poetry. I am super passionate about writing whether creatively or academically. Two of my poems were published by a literary magazine in my Junior year of college. I also completed a 30 page poetry collection for my graduation assignment. I will be of great help with essay writing, creative writing (fiction or poetry), and any reading or literature assignments. I have tutored and worked with many students of all ages to help them improve their writing skills and coach them along the entire way! I have led creative writing workshops in the past, essay editing groups, and have been a teacher's assistant in three different schools. My favorite things outside of tutoring and teaching are cats, binge watching Law and Order episodes, and trying all different kinds of new coffees. I love elementary education, and I strive to be the best educator for my students. To achieve this I stay current by reading educational journals, attending conferences, and seeking out new and interesting ways of delivering lessons.

I tutor chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, and Spanish. I recently graduated from Bucknell University with my degrees in both biology and Spanish. I was hired by the university to tutor organic chemistry, which I did for two years. I also worked as a teacher's assistant (TA) for a general chemistry class. I tutored biology and Spanish at the university on the side for my entire stay. I am very personable and easy to talk to. I am also very patient and believe that everyone has the capability to conquer any course, and I am very excited to make that happen for all of my clients.

I have a college degree in Physics and a graduate degree in Biology. I love to see students gain an understanding of the material through examples related to the world around us.I have had experience teaching as a substitute from 1st through 12th grade, including many assignments with students with developmental disabilities, where I was able to work with these students more on an individual basis. I have also taught many undergraduate laboratory classes in physics and biology. These courses provide a great opportunity to work one-on-one with students who need some extra help and to make sure that everyone is comfortable with the topic being examined.I believe that students gain a better understanding and appreciation for the material when they are led to the answer through questions and examples rather than just being told how to answer the question or perform the calculation. Although I have mostly taught at the college level, I have experience teaching students at all grade levels and enjoy helping students learn regardless of their current knowledge or ability in a particular subject.I enjoy interacting with students of all ages and helping them understand a subject, especially when they are having difficulties. I think many students who dislike school or a particular subject because they are not good at it or do not get it. The reason they are not good at it is likely because they have not spent the time or had the individual attention they need to be successful. I enjoy being able to spend the time to answer questions and ultimately help the student get to the answer on their own. When they can do this, they gain a much deeper appreciation for the thing they are studying. It is also great to see a student come to an understanding of the topic after they are given some information or strategies they did not have before.

Hello! I have been a teacher for the past 15 years with experience in both special education and general education. I have expertise across the content areas but have degrees in English and History. I am also very adept at making modifications and accommodations for students of various learning styles. I'd love to work with your student!

Education has always been very important to me. Many subjects can be very difficult to learn and learning how to deal with the stress of that is something that I can understand. I believe in helping people not only in understanding the subject, but also learning study techniques, planning, organization and how to deal with stress. When you do not know a subject matter it becomes boring and you lose interest. When you know the subject matter it becomes interesting and fun. No one likes to watch Jeopardy when you do not know the answers. When you know the answers, you feel confident and are having fun.

I'm a chemical engineering student at UMass Lowell entering my senior year. I've been inducted into the chemical engineer honor society Omega Chi Epsilon this past semester, and have been serving as its secretary since. I hope to use this tutoring opportunity to practice for the required tutoring service when I return to school.
