I am a recent graduate of USF's Master's of Biotechnology (Spring 2021) and Bachelor's in Biology from USFSP in 2018 with a minor in Biophysics and Chemistry. My academic experiences include earning a Master of Science in Biology at Missouri State University, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Policy at the University of Maryland, and an Associate of Arts in General Studies with Science Emphasis from Howard Community College.I am a wildlife biologist by training, and I am particularly interested in urban wildlife management and human-wildlife conflict solutions. My experiences include sampling freshwater turtle populations in Oklahoma, reintroducing the protected Alligator Snapping Turtle in Oklahoma, collecting behavior and nesting data on the protected Lesser Prairie-chicken and sampling small mammals and herpetofauna in New Mexico, collecting data on migratory birds on conservation land, and estimating White-tailed Deer populations in Washington, DC.I have always enjoyed teaching and tutoring Biology, Earth Science, and Statistics since I taught my first Biometrics lab as an undergraduate. My pedagogical experiences also includes teaching Biology and Environmental Science at the college level. My classes, labs, and tutoring sessions include discussions on current events, hands-on experience where applicable, and I have an open door policy when it comes to helping students perform their very best in these subjects.My interests include urban wildlife ecology, birding, and citizen science programs. From 2012 to present, I have been a GRE and SAT math teacher helping students learn and improve their math (calculus, geometry, trigonometry, algebra), science subjects (physics, biology and chemistry) and developing their knowledge and skills for creativity and problem-solving.

Teaching and learning are lifelong passions of mine. I love to help people understand and be amazed by learning new things. People who were previously uninterested in a topic become suddenly fascinated when they learn something truly amazing. I am currently enrolled at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, where I study Development Economics and International Monetary Policy. I have worked as a Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant, and as an Actuary, and have a particular passion for teaching Mathematics. When tutoring I try to include visualizations and real world examples whenever I can so that it does not feel like a fruitless exercise. I help students reach their goals with a two-pronged approach: reinforcing and building upon strengths while targeting weaknesses. In my free time I exercise, play the piano and volunteer with the Jewish Vocational Service.
