The student's Algebra final is on Tuesday and he wanted to review the practice packet his teacher had given the class. We focused largely on functions, shape of functions and how to identify whether or not an equation is a function, parabola, ellipse, etc. He seemed confident with most of the material present on the test, and focusing on function critical thinking problems and probability equations seemed to answer some lasting questions he had for the exam. I recommended he work through some relevant problem sets. I recommended the student check through his work for mistakes, particularly on multiple choice, because many of the wrong answers often seem plausible.
