Physics Tutoring review by Scott in Danbury, CT
We covered the activity that he did in class and I tied it back into the lesson that we had previously. Then we moved on to Coulomb's law.

Physics Tutoring review by Kevin in Danbury, CT
The student and I reviewed rotational motion and energy. We also did some work on orbital mechanics, though his material on that is limited (this is the sort of topic which often gets its own course). The student understands all the basic concepts, though he sometimes has trouble figuring out which one to apply in a given situation, so I've been helping him determine what keywords to look for and when certain equations are most applicable.

Physics Tutoring review by Nathan in Danbury, CT
Today we studied wave functions, including reviewing the important cases covered in class. I showed the student some of the math involved in the Schrodinger equation that had not been explained in class, and we reviewed the electron energy states and quantum that he has been confused by. I think keeping track of the quantum numbers is one of the more important things he still needs to review.

Physics Tutoring review by Osman in Danbury, CT
Today, we did a review of concepts in magnetism by working through a series of practice problems. We followed our usual problem-solving scenario. The student attempts the problem, and after a period of time, I ask him questions and stimulate his thinking until he arrives at the answer. If the problem ends up being particularly difficult and he is unable to reach an answer, I explain how to solve it. After each problem, I provide general tips on solving similar kinds of questions and we discuss the underlying physics concepts.

Physics Tutoring review by Aidan in Danbury, CT
For this session, we went over the concept of separable differential equations and slope fields. The student understood the separable differential equations well already, but was unsure on the concept of l slope fields. I then showed him the trends to look for in slope fields, and he picked it up rather quickly. He understands slope fields rather well now.
