I offer focused tutoring to prepare for standardized or in-class exams.I received my MD from the University of Maryland in 2011. Toward the end of medical school I became involved in helping premedical students prepare for the MCAT exam (I scored 98th percentile on this exam in 2007 and have since obtained higher scores on diagnostics). After medical school I completed my internship at Northwestern University and then left the clinical setting to join an MCAT content development company I founded in 2011. Over the past year, I have coached several students on MCAT preparation. I find these relationships valuable because they help me learn students learn, which helps me to write higher-yield MCAT-style questions.The MCAT contains General Chemistry/ Physics, Verbal Reasoning, and Biology/ Organic Chemistry/ Physiology/ Genetics/ Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry sections, and I feel comfortable tutoring in all these areas.The approach I will help you to implement has 3 parts: (1) Where am I now? (2) Where to I want to go? (3) How am I going to get there? To answer the first question, we'll need your most recent diagnostic test scores and a full summary of your classes/ coursework so far. The second question will be determined by you. The third question I will help you to figure out based on the time you have available to prepare. If necessary, we'll choose additional diagnostics to find your weaknesses. Then, we'll select content materials and practice problems (broken down by week) to target your weaknesses specifically.I look forward to working with you!

I have a B.S. in Chemical engineering from Michigan Tech and a minor in math. I graduated in 2013 and since then have been in the chemical industry professionally. I am now looking to start my master's in teaching and I think that tutoring is a great way to gain experience prior to beginning a MIT program. I have experience tutoring university chemistry and physical chemistry through my 2 years as a coach for the Chemistry Learning Center at Michigan Tech. I enjoy helping students figure out what they want to learn, why they should know it, and how it applies to everyday life. Being a chemical engineering and Economics senior, I am very well poised at many concepts within these faculties. Also, I am well trained in introductory corporate finance and accounting, from one of the most prestigious schools in the United States for Finance (McCombs School of Business). Some of my areas of expertise that I have done direct research and projects are international trade, and financial valuation. These included introductory monte Carlo and DCF models. I genuinely enjoy teaching and learning these concepts day-to-day. I look forward to exploring these topics with you all and make a dent in a multiverse.

Being a Ph.D. in organic Chemistry from an Israeli University and currently as a researcher in one of the top 5 universities in the US, I have gained a lot of experience in chemistry and organic chemistry teaching and research. I believe with my tips and tricks I can help students to learn organic chemistry in the easiest possible way. Understanding students need regarding a lesson, lab report or preparation for an upcoming appointment is my prime goal for the tutoring session. See you all.

As a current undergraduate at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) pursuing a Biochemistry BS, I have had the opportunity to tutor, mentor, and counsel a wide variety of students throughout my high school and college career. For the past four years, I have dedicated my efforts to tutoring elementary to high school students at a local tutoring/test prep center. Although I customarily tutor school subjects, SAT, and SAT subject tests, my strongest skills are in Math and Science. My experiences with students have taught me that a students education depends on a teachers ability to convey the subject clearly. As a result, my goal is to cater to a students needs, whether it is through visual, audio, or repetitious learning. I have been fortunate enough continue my passion of tutoring and aiding students in a year-long college program called Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) that tailors towards elementary school students with disabilities and family problems in downtown Los Angeles. However, when I do have free time, I enjoy hiking, running, reading, and playing badminton, which help me keep a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
