I am most passionate about are reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, and phonics and elementary math. I also have experience teaching students how to be more organized and strategies in test taking.

I am a certified Reading Specialist and Orton-Gillingham Multisensory Certified Teacher. I am a published Author, Exhibitionist Artist, Community Poet, and Editor. I love to visit museums. I have managed school-based tutoring programs for Reading development and have led schools in reaching state accountability goals. I am passionate about English, and Language Arts, and supporting students with scaffolds as needed to meet a most desirable level of mastery.

I am strongly committed to bringing students to mastery. To accomplish this, I thought it was important that I am trained and educated extensively in this field. I am currently a medical student at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. I completed my undergraduate degree in 2013 at Columbia University, where I majored in English and Biology. After graduation, I spent a year working at a pediatric HIV clinic in Lesotho on a Princeton in Africa fellowship, and later, I completed my Master's in Public Health at University College Dublin on a Mitchell Scholarship.
