Microbiology Tutoring review by Nathan in Joliet, IL
Today we covered how to solve polynomial inequalities for PreCalc and ideal gas law for AP chemistry. The student seemed to do pretty well with the math problems we covered, she was mostly independent. In chemistry it went pretty smoothly, she seemed to have a good idea on how to apply the ideal gas law. Overall, it was a very productive session!

We want over some calculus concepts that he was unsure of, because he is currently taking calculus. We spent most of the session on the dot product and cross product, and using the right hand rule to find the direction of the cross product. We spent the remainder of the session on impulse and momentum, and work. After some clarification, he seems ready to apply these concepts.

Microbiology Tutoring review by Matjaz in Joliet, IL
Today, we used the law of work and energy to evaluate endpoints of motion of a box on an inclined surface, with a spring at the bottom. The student is well versed in the necessary calculations and is performing them at speed. Finally, we looked at the energy - momentum conservation equations in 2 dimensions for an elastic and an inelastic collision. We have corrected some equations in the textbook, and we derived the correct equations for the final velocities given the angle of deflection.
