I am a graduate of Boston College and The University of Pittsburgh School of Law. I received a Bachelor of Arts in both English and Economics,I am a graduate of The College of William and Mary. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Literary & Cultural Studies with a focus on philosophy and theater. Since graduation, I have traveled extensively, tutoring children of immigrants in California for the “No Child Left Behind” program; adults in Manhattan looking to improve their English (as I am a certified ESL instructor); and private clients in the Veneto region of Italy. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Literature, and History. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests, we always seem to have the most fun (with remarkable advancements) prepping for the Critical Reading and Writing portions of the exams. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. I teach composition and rhetoric at a community college and BYU Idaho. Additionally, I'm a former high school English teacher and have an MFA in creative writing. I've had both poetry and short stories published, and I'm currently going through the publication process of my first novel.Although I specialize in creative writing and higher-level English courses, I have vast experience tutoring mid-level math and everything writing related. As father of a 7 year-old daughter and a 4 year-old son, I'm also passionate about working with younger kids. I speak Spanish fluently and taught it while an undergrad. My interests include music, video games, Netflix, and spending time with my family.

Based on my experience as a student and as an instructor, teaching is an ever-evolving process where one is always looking for ways to improve yet also finding new challenges as research, teaching technology and classroom dynamics, and one’s own perceptions of what is an effective class, change and develop. I also find that I learn a lot from my students, and this sharing of opinions and experiences enriches the class content and keeps me from repeating the same patterns and routines. My goal in teaching is to not only stay in tune with new research, but also maintain and appreciation and an open eye for the process of teaching as a unique and dynamic event.

I have a few years of experience in teaching general biology and chemistry, organic chemistry, microbiology, genetics, biochemistry, and mathematics from students in elementary school-graduate level. I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals, big and small. During my sessions, I cater to my student's learning style and individualized needs. I encourage open communication and provide outside resources.I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and majored in Neurobiology and Rehabilitation Psychology. I also hold a Master of Science in Biomedical Science and am working towards my Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree for 2024.Someday, I hope to practice a field of medicine that allows me to help individuals with disabilities, such as neurology. Along with my practice, I hope to teach medical students, passing down important values for future generations of healthcare providers. I have an academic background in Resource Economics as well as Finance, and I have been able to use my degree working internationally for multiple development and poverty reduction NGOs.In school I worked as a tutor for my peers and afterwards, I coached youth sports in my community.

I am a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering where I received my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Since graduation, I have taken time to further my relations with people as well as further my understanding of languages. Recently finished my study of learning the Koine Greek Language and am currently studying French. Through tutoring, I hope to one day soon get my substitute teacher license to begin teaching in the Milwaukee school district and help further their advancement in STEM programs. I namely tutor in the mathematics and engineering fields as these are where my passions lie. I firmly believe that having a strong foundation in these subjects will allow for a higher quality of life and I hope to impart the love and appreciation of education upon all my students.
