Years ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I studied math at the University of Virginia. I was a transfer student, as I started my education in the community college system. I ultimately got my BA in Mathematics with a minor in Education. My plan was to finish college and go immediately into teaching high school math. As it turned out, that didn't happen. I got side-tracked and, enjoying math so much, I stuck around UVA for another two years and earned a MS in Math. I then got drafted by the NSA and did cyptopgraphy for a few years. Now I'm back on (the education) track. I've been teaching math and statistics at ITT-Tech for a few years and, so far, I've taught two sections of college algebra at El Camino Community College. I've also been tutoring math since high school. When I attended Central Virginia Community College, I worked in the math lab, administering tests and tutoring fellow students. I prefer to tutor algebra, statistics, or calculus, but any level of math is fine as well.

As a pre-medical student at Princeton University, I've had significant experience with a vast array of subjects in both learning and teaching roles. I started tutoring in high school and have been hooked ever since! I enjoy helping others succeed in any way I can.After spending a few years helping students in my hometown prepare for the SAT, I've more recently focused on the hard sciences. Working closely with other departments allowed me to hone my interpersonal skills and the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical personnel. My position gave me the opportunity to solve the problems always on behalf of our clients.When I was a student I always summarized my learning process and faults I made so that when people asked me about homework questions I could reflect on myself and used my experience and methods to discuss with them. I always put myself in others' shoes so that to solve the problems effectively.What's more, I have the flexibility in both language and culture to operate successfully in many different contexts.

I have been teaching for almost 20 years and I really enjoy interaction with students. I think there is a lot for an instructor to learn from that interaction since you put apart the problem you are trying to teach. You learn details you never thought were there. I got my bachelor's degrees from UMKC in computer science and math and I'm passionate about both and especially about AI as its a wonderful combination of both. Currently I'm pursuing my Master's in computer science with a concentration in data science. I'm tutoring Python, R, Data Science, Discrete Math, Math, Middle School Math and Technology and Computer Science.

When I worked as a tutor at the Burbridge Athletics Academic Center at the University of Utah, where I also earned my Bachelors of Science in Physics, I developed a passion for education, which I intend to continue with now that I have moved to Washington DC. I am able to tutor students in Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science, having developed experience as part of my pursuit of that degree. I also have an intense interest in History, which I pursued in my general educational requirements of that same degree.
