I am a retired corporate instructor and for the past ten years a professor at New York University (NYU). Education has been a lifelong passion which I pursue, in part, by tutoring individual students from late middle school through college. I'm married and have three grown children and a couple of very special grandchildren.

I am a graduate student studying nursing at Simmons College. I am also a certified Emergency Medical Technician! During the time that I don't spend studying or working, I enjoy reading fiction novels. I have experience tutoring reading, writing, biology, chemistry, and German! My hope while tutoring is that I can impart some of my passion for learning to my students!

After graduating from the University of Rhode Island, I entered the teaching field through working at Segue Institute for Learning, a charter school in Central Falls, where I taught 8th grade English/Language Arts. From there, I moved to La Salle Academy, where I currently teach 9th grade and 11th grade English. Based on my vast teaching experiences, I am confident in many areas of the broad subject of English.

I got my degree in Physics with a minor in Political Science from Wheaton College in MA. I tutor Physics, Calculus, some Computer Science, Latin, and Writing. I particularly enjoy tutoring Writing because I spend most of my time these days writing anyways. I would describe my tutoring style as very dynamic and example-driven. I'm pretty good at coming up with exercises and methods on the fly, which has served me well so far.
