Everyone has a class or field that they naturally struggle in (mine is art), but enough time for extra thought and effort will make your goals in the class achievable. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor's of Science in Actuarial Science & Economics in April/2014, and graduated from DePaul University with a Master's of Science in Applied Mathematics. I currently work for the Bureau of Labor Statistics as an Economist.I always liked using numbers to quantify and interpret certain problems; strange to some I know.I will be glad to tutor anyone in courses that require math and/or economic reasoning. Asking why and how a problem is done instead of just asking for the answer is what I'm looking for in a student. I can be of assistance for the whole semester or just for a test coming up for the class. As long as we are scheduling time to ask why and how to approach the problems, I am on board.

I have a BS in Biotechnology with minors in Mathematics and Psychology, graduating with a 3.90 GPA. I am currently a PhD student studying Microbiology and Immunology at George Washington University.I have been a tutor since middle school. Throughout middle and high school as well as college, I have tutored in all levels of science and math classes. I have also taken AP art classes in drawing and photography. In college, I have tutored, general biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry I, organic chemistry II, genetics, microbiology, molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, and biochemistry. During my time at The College of New Jersey, I have tutored many students in a variety of mathematical subjects and discovered a keen interest in it. I was there for two years and now have moved to Lehigh University where I will complete a MA in Mathematics in May. During my time here, I have been a teaching assistant for the various levels of calculus offered by the university and have had the opportunity of teaching students of all levels. Thus, it is obvious that my favorite subject to tutor is, in fact, calculus, but I am quite experienced in all other areas of mathematics as well. Since mathematics is such a conceptual subject, I find that by understanding misconceptions and errata, one might gain a better appreciation for the subject.
