I am a graduate student at Hunter College for an MA in Statistics and I am trying to pursue a career as an actuary. I have been tutoring various math subjects for five years and love to tutor. I always try to really individualize my approach to tutoring because everyone learns differently.

I am a recent graduate from the University of Georgia with a major in Chemistry and a minor in Spanish. During my junior year, I spent the fall through summer semesters helping instruct general chemistry classes and organic chemistry labs. Overall, I personally enjoy teaching and tutoring others not only because it better helps people understand some of the more difficult concepts of the material but because it also allows me to fully cement my knowledge and help people further.

Micah is currently an undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Dallas majoring in Information Technology Systems and Finance. He has years of experience tutoring and training students as he led a team of 78 students to the international level of DECA competition (the largest team in Texas).Micah likes taking unique, unorthodox approaches to solving problems. His hobby includes expanding his horizons about the technology and business world.

As an Environmental Educator for New York State Parks, I act as a jack-of-all-trades for the thousands of visitors who come to our natural areas every summer. One day I could be giving a program on the geological formation of the Finger Lakes; another day, I could be hiking park trails to make sure everyone is safe and accounted for. Regardless of what I'm doing on any given day, one of the key components of my job is the ability to understand, paraphrase, and communicate complicated concepts to the public.Combined with my personal experience in coaching youth volleyball and serving as an interpreter for the US Forest Service last year, I have found I'm able to explain ideas well to people regardless of their background knowledge on any given topic. Hello! My name is Amanda and last year I completed my doctoral education in Biochemistry at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Most recently I have been working as an educator as Discovery World in Milwaukee where I teach children in grades 2 through 12 in a lab setting about a variety of scientific topics and as an adjunct professor of Microbiology at WCTC. Over the course of my undergraduate career I tutored students in individual and group sessions. As a graduate student I mentored and trained younger students in the lab. I enjoy tutoring others because I was once was a young child being tutored by many people for subjects in math and language arts. I personally excel in tutoring elementary and middle school math, as well as elementary and middle school language arts. I am also knowledgeable in a portion of algebra based physics.
