I am a nurse educator with 20 years of experience. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Houston. Currently, I am working on a PhD in Nursing Science at Texas Woman's University where my research focus is on why nurses have stayed at the bedside. I am passionate about education, specifically nursing education. It always brings me joy to see students succeed and begin to think beyond the to-do list. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and watching anything true crime related.

I recently received my undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rice University. A Teaneck, NJ native, I have come to truly love Houston and all it has to offer. Although, I have completed coursework in a wide array of subjects, math is the subject in which I excel. I have tutored students in mathematics coursework from Arithmetic all the way up to Calculus 2. My students have ranged from ages 6 to 20, encompassing students from 1st grade all the way up to sophomores in college. Simply put, I work well with all ages, grades, and backgrounds. I can help you whether you’re trying to improve grades or understanding, regain some knowledge, or preparing for a standardized exam. With every student I tutor in mathematics, my goal is to not only improve their knowledge of the subject, but to also improve their confidence in knowing when they’ve found the correct answer. I had the wonderful opportunity of tutoring Math throughout college, as well as GED prep classes with a women's rehabilitation center for inmates wanting to obtain their GED before re-entering into society. I have taught students ranging in all races, classes, and ages, and find fun and interesting ways to reach each student according to their individual needs. There's nothing like watching the "light go on" when students grasp a new concept. I am currently going back to school, pursuing a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine to continue my path of aiding others in reaching an overall sense of well-being in mind, body, and spirit.

I went to the University of Maryland, College Park as an undergraduate, and I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physics. I am now pursuing my Ph.D. in Physics at Temple University in Philadelphia! I am currently a teaching assistant at Temple teaching college students general physics I. I have been teaching for a while, and I really love it! I am always looking for ways to help my students better understand the material that they need help with. I also like to make it fun and enjoyable! I not only have a background in physics but math as well! I am great with numbers and always look forward to guiding students in their courses and love watching my students make progress. I teach many different subjects within physics and math, such as algebra, geometry, calculus (I, II, & III), AP physics, college physics, and much more! I have been tutoring for around 2 years now and have been an after school care provider for over 6 years. Learning is hard. It's one of the hardest things you do, but you get to do it daily. From the moment you are born, life is a learning experience. I would like to help with the struggles of learning, while gaining experience and learning along the way. I am happy to help others and enjoy seeing the light bulbs of knowledge flicker on when I have the opportunity to do so.

My experiences in the public school setting have been in the middle to high school levels. However, I have substituted at all grade levels because I was in high demand by school administrators. I currently am a graduate student at Point Park University. I will graduate with a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction with Reading Specialist certification. I earned my undergraduate degrees from Middle Tennessee State University. I love teaching and watching my students grow and learn.
