I will be a sophomore at Texas A&M University in Fall 2020, pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. I am very passionate about math and computers, and am capable of demonstrating multiple ways to solve a problem. I am currently serving as the head golf coach for Nolan Catholic High School in Fort Worth, Texas. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Houston in May 2014. I also obtained minors in Economics and Philosophy. I am currently working on an MBA in Finance at the University of North Texas.I have served in many accounting roles and served in campus leadership roles all through campus. I have a passion for teaching and receive great enjoyment from others succeeding academically and professionally. I have a wide array of experience and interests that allow me to help nearly every student.I can tutor math subjects, economics, accounting, reading, and writing. In addition to being guided and influenced in a highly educational environment by my father, who taught for 40 years before he became a university dean, I have had the opportunity to teach for over seven years where I have led classes as large as 30 students and taught ages 5 through 10.My experiences tutoring university students and coaching vocal techniques varied from early teenagers to college students in their mid to late 20s.I have been instrumental in devising effective, fun and instructional lesson plans by using Montessori's hands-on methodology, aiming to target individual learning gaps and improving test scores. My greatest strengths include positively motivating students, by using stimulating and learning activities to keep them interested and focused.Having also been an event coordinator and music director in the event industry for 15 years, as well as being the touring lead singer of my own band around the Middle East and North Africa, I have mastered micro coordinating skills off and on stage, to ensure an omnipresent and multitasking delivery varying from small and very large crowds from different age groups.

Since graduation, I have been working part-time in a dermatologist office as a Medical Assistant and part-time on a public health project related to smoking cessation. I have also been tutoring students in a variety of subjects. I have been tutoring students since I was in 7th grade, and my favorite subject to tutor is math. My family is originally from Russia, and I grew up with a very strong and traditional math background. I always find teaching math to students to be gratifying, and I hope to share some of my love for math with my students. I also enjoy tutoring test prep, especially since I know how stressful the process of applying to colleges (and later graduate schools) is! With every student, I aim to find an individualized approach that makes our time together productive, helpful, and enjoyable. I am a graduate from the University of Georgia where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Cognitive Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence/Computing and Psychology. Throughout College and even in high school, I loved helping my peers and those around me achieve and found myself in many situations where I helped friends in one-on-one or group study sessions as well as joining a plethora of groups and associations that would connect me to students who needed a little extra help. My path in college allowed me to explore many different subjects in a variety of fields, but I find myself most passionate about Life Sciences, all levels of Math, Software Development in Java, Psychology, and Philosophy. I also enjoy aiding in the studying for Standardized Testing as I have always enjoyed the process of test taking and have acquired many skills and tips that could help anyone become a more skilled test taker. I believe education to be a cornerstone in becoming a fulfilled person in life, and this belief is what encourages and motivates me to help others further excel, prosper, and achieve all their goals in life. I am a writer living in Brooklyn. I grew up in a suburb of Washington, D.C., and attended Oberlin College in Oberlin, OH, where I majored in history. In college I acted as an editor for the Oberlin Review and as research assistant to an English professor. I spent one semester abroad at Trinity College in Dublin, and another semester at the Williams-Mystic maritime studies program in Mystic, Connecticut. It was an eclectic undergraduate experience that left me interested in many different things and wanting to learn much more. I'm working on that.My main interests are literature, film, and travel. I love getting to know people, their stories and memories, what excites them, what they care about. I think each of us has a lot to learn and we have to help each other along.

I was a Math Teacher in New York City for 7 years. I have worked with students of various abilities and backgrounds and take the most pride in reaching those students whom others had written off. No matter what level of math you are at or what your past experience with math has been, I will help you both understand the concepts and see their relevance to your everyday life.

I recently graduated from Chatham University, PA, with an MFA in Creative Writing and a concentration in Pedagogy. I was a Graduate Writing Mentor at the JKM Library's writing center at Chatham. I tutor and teach College English and Creative Writing and Graduate English and Creative Writing. I am passionate about English because I am a fiction writer and enjoy helping students overcome writing challenges. My absolute pleasure is helping students overcome their fears and develop new writing skills.

Starting in high school, I began teaching when I became a swim instructor during sophomore year and discovered that I love teaching students. I enjoy seeing my students improve and achieve new goals as I work with them. Moving away from the swimming environment, I started to tutor students for math and science. I quickly realized that I enjoyed teaching in this environment as well, particularly because I enjoy math and science and their relevance to my everyday life. This projected my teaching philosophy by giving students connections to their studies. I believe these connections are the best way to improve your attitude towards learning and understanding of any subject area.In my spare time, I enjoy swimming, playing basketball, and producing music.
