I spent one year as an Undergraduate Student Instructor at UC Berkeley where I helped run a lab section for a general biology course. I also spent one year as an individual tutor for biology and general chemistry. One of my most fulfilling experiences as a tutor was working with several special needs students in the biological sciences; that experience really helped broaden my horizons as an educator.The summer after I graduated I was given the privilege of leading a study group for general biology. Students who needed a little bit of extra help for that course could always come to my study group to bolster their knowledge.
