Life makes us agree with the statement, "once a student, always a student." You see, I was once a student in school needing help or affirmation, and now I'm still learning more things in life. Therefore, it is easy and relatable for me to help students because learning is a central theme in life - we learn from our successes, failures, and mistakes throughout our life's journey. Even animals learn by adapting and have been learning since the beginning of time. And now, there is a learning that robots, such as AIs (Artificial Intelligence), are acquiring to make them more serviceable to humans.
My affinity for learning advanced concepts began in my early childhood, when my parents recognized that I was a gifted child. My parents saw me as "a diamond in the rough" and hired a tutor to nurture my skills and help me advance beyond my age. Gifted with the innate ability to understand math and its concepts, I became an excellent math student in elementary and high school, thanks to the foundational tutoring I received.
I often assumed the role of a tutor among my classmates and peers. Although I was well-versed in math, my parents thought it would be better for me to study architecture due to my artistic skills and the numerous floor plans I had designed as early as eight years old. So, I studied architecture and graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). I also accumulated at least 15 extra Math credits beyond those required for the architecture program, including Calculus II and Calculus III electives in one particular enrollment semester. I obtained an A in both courses, despite Calculus II being a prerequisite for Calculus III. Later, I even added Statistics and Complex Variables.
After graduating, I had a long and rewarding career in building codes and construction, advancing to the pinnacle of my career, where I oversaw staff and programs in city and county governments. My background in Mathematics made it easy for me to find practical solutions to maximize staffing combinations for efficiency and effectively solve problems. Throughout my professional career, I have sought to mentor others and share a part of myself that they could carry with them for as long as they desired.
Now, in this phase of my life, I have chosen to share my knowledge by tutoring Mathematics. With a natural gift and unique ability to understand and teach Math and its concepts, I strive to make math not just a subject but a fun, engaging, and easy-to-understand experience. I emphasize the practical application of math with everyday examples that some may not have considered. Let me bring a unique perspective to your learning journey, showing you how math is not just a theoretical concept but a valuable tool in everyday life!

Undergraduate Degree: The University of Texas at Arlington - Bachelor of Science, Architecture
My passion for mathematics encompasses a range of subjects, including Boolean algebra, differential equations, calculus, trigonometry, exponential functions, and complex numbers. These areas are intellectually stimulating, and some provide valuable insights into our digital age. While I sometimes consider pursuing a doctorate in math, I believe my enthusiasm for the subject outweighs any formal credentials. The joy I find in tutoring and lifelong learning is gratifying. In my free time, I enjoy solving puzzles, creating unique math challenges, and playing Scrabble. I enjoy barbecuing, cooking, reading, listening to music, and playing percussion instruments. Additionally, I am a sports enthusiast who loves fashion, art, opera, classical music, and theater.
