Certified Tutor

Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and it started with helping friends out in high school. I've been a private tutor for +9 years. I worked as for an English academy as an English teacher in Venezuela. I was a TA for 3 years of my undergrad (in Organic Chemistry), and am currently a TA (C101 + C343) for Purdue Indianapolis.

I'm currently working on my MS-Thesis in Organic Chemistry, and will obtain my degree by December 2024. I've always been passionate about chemistry and math, because they offer a lot of insight into our surrounding world. I also enjoy teaching languages (English/Spanish), because I believe communication is the most important skill one can learn.

I like to bond with students and create that trust that will allow the student to actually learn, and not only pass the class. I believe that we are all capable of getting knowledge, and we should focus on applying it as well. I know that grades are important for many reasons, but my main focus will always be that the student is learning how to use what he learns. There's a lot of pressure for young people this days to do many things, and in that I feel we've lost the love for knowledge and have instead focused on accumulating it. My goal with any student is to make sure they feel confident in their learning abbilities, and that they understand that with hard work anything can be achieved.
