Certified Tutor

After I was asked to help a friend needing a tutor in high school, it became a passion. My background expands over 20 years, and includes time as a tutor in Seoul, South Korea, while I was studying abroad. I am fluent in Korean, and have worked with a broad range of students in age and level. I have seen firsthand my students grow and excel in their academic progress, which has been rewarding. As a theology major who transitioned into my own career, it has been beneficial to utilize my masters level education. I specialize in working with students on time management, study and test-taking skills and subjects, such as Language Arts, Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies. My favorite subjects to tutor are English/Language Arts and History, because I have discovered growth in myself the most through those subjects. I have also taught SAT, focusing on writing/verbal and English.

I am very easygoing, and allow room in my students for improvement, while helping them discover how important it is for them to learn by themselves individually, for confidence.

Outside of academia, I have a passion for music and sports.
