Certified Tutor

I attended Appalachian State University for my undergraduate and soon graduate degrees. I received my Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics and a Minor in Mathematics. I have one remaining semester before finishing the Engineering Physics graduate program offered by Appalachian. My concentration within this program is Systems and Laboratory Automation.

My experience with assisting students began my first semester as a graduate student with a job as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. This position required me to lead and assist students through labs in one of our general physics courses. Thanks to this opportunity, I was also able to work with students individually and learned to adapt to their different learning styles.

Personally, my favorite subject to tutor is either kinematics or basic electronics. Ever since I took my first physics course, kinematics physics problems were always fun for me. However, my graduate program focuses more on electronics so I have built up a passion for the topic. Those two sections of physics are indeed my favorite to tutor, but I am also looking forward to any other math/physics tutoring opportunities that come my way!
