I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, with a double major in Entomology and Philosophy. Currently, I am in my final semester of a Master's degree in Entomology, from the Federal University of Parana, Brazil, studying ecology and evolution of mosquitoes. While in Brazil, I tutored English to non-native speakers, both children and adults. I also have experience tutoring in reading and the sciences. In my view, education is not merely a means to an end, but an end in itself - and my goal as a tutor is to present, discuss, and work out the content with the student(s) in such a way that each of us shares in the other's enthusiasm along the way. I personally particularly enjoy literature, history, and languages, and other interests of mine include music, hiking, and cooking.
