Courtney, is a master tutor, with over a decade of experience as a private tutor, as well as 6 years of professional experience in the education system (2 years as a K-5 reading & math interventionist and 4 years as a high school social studies teacher). Courtney has tutoring and teaching experience at all levels, from elementary through college curricula. Her specialties comprise U.S. History, World History, U.S. Government, historical thinking skills, reading comprehension, writing skills, and study skills. For Courtney, tutoring is not work; it is a fulfilling activity that she finds joy in completing. She likes being a positive influence in the lives of students and enjoys using her knowledge to help them gain the confidence necessary to succeed in school and life.
