Certified Tutor

I am currently a second year undergraduate student at Vanderbilt University studying cognitive studies and neuroscience. I took a heavy course load of Advanced Placement classes in high school, and I have been tutoring students and my peers in various subjects for the last five years. I am also a hired tutor for Vanderbilt University's Tutoring Services.

Although I tutor in many subjects, my focus is mostly on mathematics and science as well as standardized testing like the ACT and PSAT. Standardized testing was not always my strong suit, so I understand the drive and the practice needed to achieve my students' goals. I love being a resource and guide for students and adapting to whichever learning styles best fit them. The tutoring experience is extremely rewarding to me as I am challenged by my students to think more creatively and make connections to aid them in problem-solving or understanding a concept. I understand the fear of asking a teacher or professor questions in class, and I am always ready to provide a safe space for questioning and discovery and support my students in their learning journey in whatever ways they need.
