As a lawyer and lifelong learner, I thoroughly enjoy helping others discover their love for learning in hopes that they can help make the world a better place!
I have worked in the past in assisting non-traditional students obtaining their High School Diploma as well as working with Martin County as a substitute teacher where I have taught several different classes and age groups.
I started out my post-high school education at the University of South Florida where I went through many changes in majors and enjoyed taking a wide variety of classes.
After several eventful years at USF, I received an opportunity to move to Illinois and fix up and restore a century old farm house that my mother was born in.
After the move, I discovered I could not complete a degree with USF through distance learning so I went an obtained my Associates Degree in Science at Heartland Community College before finishing a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy at Illinois State University in less than two years.
Before graduating from ISU I took the LSAT and began applying to Law Schools.
I was ecstatic to be accepted and attend our nation's oldest law school. I graduated from the College of William and Mary's School of Law in the top third of my class, which was no easy feat considering that I went into law school with one child and before I graduated I had my second.
I enjoy tutoring all subjects because the pursuit of knowledge is something I am passionate about and I love to share that passion with my students!
My teaching philosophy and style has always been one of flexibility. As a philosopher and lawyer, I have discovered that there is no true one size fits all so I meet with my students and tailor my approach to fit their learning styles and goals.
Outside of Academia a few passions of mine include video gaming with my children, road cycling, fishing, scuba diving, and boating.
