The goal of education is to help create a better society and strengthen our communities. Only through education can we improve. I became a teacher to positively influence the world and help inspire others to be the best they can be. I view education as a holistic experience. I love my content area and care deeply about it. However, I care more about my students. This means that I strive to help my students in ways besides simply understanding the content. I want my students to be better learners, problem solvers and citizens when they leave my classroom. I believe that a teacher has the unique position to truly influence change and help build people up.
