This year I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas State University, majoring in theatre with a minor in mathematics. I have been a Supplemental Instructor (which is like a tutor in a group setting) at my university for three semesters, specializing in Differential Equations, as well as a private tutor for students at various levels of high school math. I have noticed that lots of people run into a mental block with math because it has a reputation as a difficult subject, but I think that anyone can be a "math person"! It is always rewarding for me when students I work with say things like, "Wow, that wasn't so hard after all." Outside of academics, my passion is theatre, and I also enjoy reading books about space and baking gluten-free desserts.
