I feel the most important attributes to being a good teacher are flexibility, patience, creativity and a love of learning. You must be flexible when working with any children since they all are individuals and have their own needs. Patience is a requirement for the same reasons, especially with middle school children who are finding out who they really are and will try and push the envelope. If you do not have a love of learning yourself and a sense of creativity it is almost impossible to get others to learn and be excited about the learning process. An outstanding teacher must have all of these attributes and many more since teachers are the cornerstone to a productive society.
