I am a student at the University of Tennessee studying Actuarial and Statistical Mathematics. In high school, I took eight AP classes in subjects including Math, Science, Social Studies, and English. Additionally, I took the SAT twice and the ACT five times, eventually achieving an SAT score of 1440 and ACT score of 33. With having very recently enrolled in these classes and taken these assessments, I have the material fresh on my mind and can easily view it from a student's perspective. I can show students the various successful study habits I have learned throughout my education and the specific skills needed to do well on these tests (AP exams, ACT, SAT). My main strengths include tutoring for the ACT and math courses. Since I have taken the ACT five times and been able to achieve a score of 33 the last three times, I can teach students how to study for the test and what is important to know. Because I have a passion for mathematics and I study the subject in college, I have a great understanding of the material in most high school math classes (geometry, trigonometry, algebra 1 & 2, statistics, calculus AB & BC). I highly value education and take these courses and assessments seriously. I encourage every student to apply themselves as much as possible in studying methods that fit one's specific learning style. I believe that all students, when steered in the right direction, can successfully learn highly complex concepts and prepare for very difficult assessments.
