Certified Tutor

My name is Tawni and I am a current graduate student studying Engineering Education and I hold a B.S. in Industrial Engineering. I have previous experience teaching math and engineering at the high school level. In addition, I have limited experience working with 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 6th grade and undergraduate students on various tasks and in various different environments (virtually, in the classroom, at home, etc.). Some of my strongest beliefs about education include that everyone is capable of learning (even if they haven't been successful in a given task yet), and that education / instruction should be individualized to an individual's personality and goals for the given subject. I strive to always adapt my tutoring techniques to the techniques that work for my clients while still holding them accountable and ensuring they are learning and growing throughout our time working together.

While education is one of my greatest passions, I also enjoy spending time outdoors with my animals, volunteering with animal rescue organizations, dancing and playing basketball.
