Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Johns Hopkins University. I have a 120 hour TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification and I have been teaching and tutoring for over 5 years. My most recent experience was teaching middle school Spanish at an all-boys private school. Before that, I provided Homework Help in all subjects to middle and high school students. I am passionate about helping students because I understand the importance of education in our development, and I appreciate and empathize with the fact that additional support outside of class is extremely helpful in accomplishing our academic goals. My favorite subjects to tutor include English, Spanish, Fiction, Poetry, and College Apps, including college application essays. My teaching practices include personalization of lessons, consistent check-ins and practice in the form of repetition, and a positive and engaging approach. Outside of academics, I enjoy reading and writing poetry, reading contemporary fiction, dancing, and going to the beach!
