I integrate patience, humor, and positive-reinforcement in my tutoring sessions, to cultivate an open space for my students to feel comfortable making mistakes and asking for help. This is essential to personalizing teaching techniques so that they are conducive to the students' learning styles. Additionally, I aim to build my students' confidence in their abilities, so that they do not get discouraged when dealing with more difficult concepts. My goal is for my students to become independent learners, so that over time, the tutor-training wheel can come off, and the students will feel confident and comfortable enough in their own abilities that they will no longer need my help and can succeed on their own!
